Sonoma Valley Adult School & Community Education

Since 1938, Sonoma Valley Adult School (SVAS) has enjoyed being a part of the long tradition of quality education in the valley.  With turning of the season, we invite you to Our Fall Open House to be held on Saturday, August 28 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in our office and class rooms on the high school campus.  Come in and register for classes, meet teachers and see example class projects and teacher presentations of work.

Some of our new Community Education classes for the Fall semester include: Acoustic Guitar Jam Sessions 101, Estate Documents Organizer & Planning, Scrapbooking with Photos and Journaling, and Cultivate your Life Energy with Qigong just to name a few.  If you have any ideas for future community education classes and/or are interested in teaching, please let us know. Our doors are always open to new ideas.

SVAS also offers a High School Diploma/GED program for adults, English as a Second Language and Citizenship for Naturalization classes for adult immigrants, employers and local businesses are served by our Workplace Education Systems (WTS) designed to bring classroom instruction and customized curriculum to the worksite on a contract fee basis and finally, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that includes a Pharmacy Technician course and a Computer Skills and Business Applications certificate program.
