Sonoma Valley Adult School & Community Education

Since 1938, Sonoma Valley Adult School (SVAS) has been a part of the long tradition of quality education in the valley.  With the beginning of the New Year, we invite you to our Spring Open House held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from Noon till 2:00 pm in our office.  Come in and register for classes, meet Community Education teachers and see example class projects and teacher 

presentations of work.

Some of our new Community Education classes for the Spring semester include: Aikido for Beginners, Law 101: Know Your Rights, and Get Your Glee On, just to name a few.
 

Employers and local businesses are served by our Workplace Education Systems (WTS) designed to bring classroom instruction and customized curriculum to the worksite on a contract fee basis.  Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program includes a QuickBooks Pro level I & II courses and a Computer Skills and Business Applications certificate program.  Entry level medical careers are available via our partnership with Boston Reed College and are located throughout Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties.

SVAS also offers a High School Diploma and a General Education Development (GED) exam preparation program, as well as a program for adult immigrants to learn English as a Second Language (ESL) and ESL/Citizenship.
